The Opportunity
At John Deere, we know that great customer experiences start with capable, confident dealer teams. As our Dealer Trainer, you will play a critical role in building capability across the ANZ dealer network through the design, development and delivery of engaging learning solutions that drive performance.
This is more than a training role. You will partner closely with dealers, leaders, and learning providers to identify development opportunities, design practical training programs, and deliver learning experiences that improve sales performance, customer engagement, communication skills, and business outcomes.
From leading dealer bootcamps to developing bespoke learning solutions and analysing capability data, you will help shape the future success of our dealer network through learning and development.
What You Will Be Responsible For
Delivering Dealer Training Programs
Develop and deliver engaging bootcamp programs that build practical, job-ready skills across dealer sales, parts, and service teams.
Coordinate training schedules, logistics, resources, and delivery across multiple locations and regions to support large scale training and customer events.
Facilitate learning experiences that are interactive, relevant, and tailored to diverse audiences.
Measure program effectiveness through participant feedback and continuous improvement initiatives.
Deliver ad-hoc and planned training in basic technical and soft skills development across the dealership network.
Developing Learning Programs
Design and deliver bespoke learning solutions to meet emerging business and dealer capability needs.
Create and facilitate presentation, communication, and customer engagement training programs.
Develop scalable learning solutions, including train-the-trainer approaches, to build sustainable capability across the network.
Driving Dealer Development Through Data
Monitor learning activity, course participation, completion rates, and performance trends across the dealer network.
Analyse learning and performance data to identify capability gaps and development opportunities.
Implement targeted interventions to address identified needs and track progress against agreed outcomes.
Provide insights and recommendations to key stakeholders on dealer development trends and priorities.
Managing External Learning Partnerships
Identify opportunities where specialist learning expertise is required.
Partner with external providers to co-design and deliver tailored learning solutions.
Manage vendor relationships, program quality, budgets, and overall return on investment.
Building Strong Stakeholder Relationships
Develop trusted relationships with dealer principals, managers, and sales and service leaders.
Collaborate across the wider training and development team to align priorities and share best practice.
Represent the Dealer Training team at dealer events, bootcamps, and network engagements.

Skills And Experience That You Need
Experience in training, facilitation, learning and development, or dealer/channel capability roles. Desired but not essential.
Strong instructional design skills with the ability to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
Confident and impactful facilitation skills, with the ability to adapt your approach to different audiences.
Experience analysing learning or performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and development priorities.
Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, including the ability to influence senior leaders and dealer principals.
Experience managing external training providers or learning vendors.
Excellent organisation and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple programs and delivery schedules.
A passion for developing people and building capability.
Experience within agriculture, equipment, automotive, manufacturing, or dealer network environments will be advantageous but is not essential.
