The Opportunity

CGC Recruitment is seeking an experienced Fit-Out Project Engineer for an initial 3-month contract with an established Tier 1 contractor delivering a major construction project north of the river in Perth.

This is an prospect to join a well-resourced project team during a key stage of delivery, taking ownership of fit-out and finishing packages on a large-scale, technically complex development.

We're particularly interested in Project Engineers from commercial building backgrounds who are confident coordinating multiple trades, managing subcontractors and driving programme, quality and delivery.

The Role

Working closely with the Project Manager and site delivery team, you'll be responsible for coordinating and managing key fit-out packages to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

- Managing internal fit-out and finishing packages through to completion.
- Coordinating subcontractors, trades and specialist suppliers.
- Managing interfaces between architectural finishes, building services and other construction activities.
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, RFIs and technical documentation.
- Monitoring programme, progress and quality across allocated work packages




- Identifying and resolving site coordination and delivery issues.
- Managing inspections, defects and handover documentation.

About You

- Proven experience as a Project Engineer within commercial building construction
- Strong fit-out, finishes and subcontractor coordination experience.
- Experience working with Tier 1 or Tier 2 commercial builders preferred.
- Confident managing multiple work fronts in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Strong technical understanding of commercial fit-out and building services interfaces.
- Available immediately or at short notice for a 3-month contract.
