The business is experiencing continued growth and has secured a strong pipeline of projects across South East Queensland.

Your new role

Due to continued growth, an chance has become available for an experienced Estimator to join their team.
Working closely with project delivery and leadership teams, you will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates and tender submissions across a range of remedial and rectification projects. You will review drawings, engineering reports and scopes of work, undertake quantity take-offs, obtain subcontractor pricing and develop commercially competitive tenders.

What you'll need to succeed

Previous estimating experience in remedial construction, building rectification, concrete repair, waterproofing, façade remediation or refurbishment projects
Ability to interpret engineering reports, technical drawings and specifications
Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail




Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience preparing tenders and negotiating subcontractor pricing
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software

Desired Skills and Experience

Proven experience preparing detailed cost estimates, BOQs and tender submissions
Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and engineering documentation
Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials and procurement processes
Experience pricing variations and identifying cost risks and scope gaps
Proficient with estimating software such as Databuild, CostX, Cubit or similar
Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and project teams
High attention to detail with a commercial mindset and strong organisational skills
Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building or a related discipline highly regarded
