M.F.E. Services Pty Ltd is seeking an Apprentice Fire Sprinkler Fitter to join our wet fire team in Murarrie, Brisbane.

This is a rare opportunity to enter a specialised trade and build a long-term career in fire protection while working towards the CPC32820 Certificate III in Fire Protection.

We are looking for someone who is keen to work, willing to learn and good to have around. Previous fire industry or trade experience is definitely a bonus, but it is not the most important thing. We are happy to teach the right person and support them to build their skills and knowledge over time.

We would much rather employ someone with little or no experience who has a good attitude and genuinely wants to learn than someone with industry experience who is unwilling to work as part of a team.

What you will learn

Working alongside experienced technicians, you will gain practical experience with:

- Fire sprinklers, pumps and water storage tanks

- Hydrants and hose reels

- Fire suppression systems

- Routine maintenance testing and compliance servicing

- Service, repairs and rectification works

- New fire-system installations and upgrades

- Safe use of tools, site procedures and quality workmanship

- Genuinely willing to learn and have a go at recent tasks

- Comfortable working as part of a team

- Able to listen to instructions and take feedback

- Proud of their work and motivated to improve

- Safety conscious and willing to do things properly

- A good communicator and generally good to have around

A current driver licence is required. Experience in fire protection, sprinklers, pumps, tanks, extinguishers or another trade is preferred but not essential.
