In this role, you will help keep our seafood supply chain moving efficiently while building trusted relationships with freight forwarders, cold stores and internal teams.

The opportunity

You will manage imported shipment clearances through our freight forwarders, coordinate stock movements and maintain accurate stock records across our Seafood Trading division. The position is initially work from home; however, this arrangement may change as the Sydney-based team grows.

What you will be responsible for

- Coordinating imported shipments from origin through to clearance and delivery, working closely with appointed freight forwarders and customs service providers.

- Monitoring shipment schedules, documentation, clearance milestones and delivery timeframes, and proactively resolving delays or discrepancies.

- Coordinating stock movements between ports, cold stores, processing sites, customers and other locations.

- Maintaining accurate stock records, completing regular reconciliations and investigating stock discrepancies and claims.

- Preparing, checking and maintaining shipping, import, delivery and traceability documentation.

- Building effective working relationships with freight forwarders, transport providers, cold stores, suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders.

- Supporting compliance with food safety, product traceability and Marine Stewardship Council Chain of Custody requirements.





- Assisting with invoicing, freight cost checks, reporting and other logistics administration as required.

What you will bring

- At least two years’ experience in import coordination, freight forwarding or a closely related logistics role.

- Demonstrated experience managing import shipment clearances through a freight forwarder.

- Proven experience and knowledge efficiently utilising Microsoft Office products, including minimum intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.

- Experience coordinating stock movements and maintaining accurate stock-control records.

- Strong administration, organisation and prioritisation skills, with excellent attention to detail.

- Confidence working with shipment documentation, inventory data and multiple logistics systems.

- Transparent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build productive stakeholder relationships.

- A practical, solutions-focused approach and the ability to work independently in a work-from-home environment.

A valuable advantage

Experience in the seafood, food, FMCG or cold-chain sector will be highly regarded, as will knowledge of HACCP, food safety systems, import biosecurity requirements or Marine Stewardship Council Chain of Custody standards.
