ABOUT GM³

GM³ is an emerging Australian metallurgical coal mining entity owned by Golden Energy and Resources (GEAR) and M Resources. With a focus on safe and consistent production, GM³ aims to create long-term value from its metallurgical coal assets while contributing to the regions surrounding its operations.

WHAT GM³ OFFERS

- Market-competitive salary plus superannuation and an annual short-term incentive bonus based on individual and business performance.

- Options for additional superannuation contributions

- 5 weeks annual leave

- Travel allowance for work across our sites

ABOUT THE ROLE

Based primarily at Tahmoor Mine and reporting to the Team Lead End User Services, you will provide onsite Level 1 and Level 2 technology support for GM³ employees across corporate and site environments.

You will resolve incidents and service requests requiring hands-on support, working closely with the outsourced service desk, Infrastructure, Cloud and Cyber specialists, site OT teams and service partners. The role helps maintain reliable workplace technology services, including end user devices, collaboration tools, meeting room technology and site telephony.

You will deliver work in line with GM³ technology standards, operational requirements and site safety obligations, while helping build a practical, responsive and service-focused End User Services capability.

Key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

- Provide onsite Level 1 and Level 2 support for laptops, desktops, mobile devices, peripherals, meeting rooms and site telephony.

- Own escalated incidents and service requests through to resolution in ServiceNow, maintaining clear ticket updates and documentation.

- Build, enrol, deploy and support Windows devices using Intune, Autopilot and GM³ device standards.

- Support Microsoft 365 services, including Outlook, Teams,

OneDrive, SharePoint and approved AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot.

- Coordinate onboarding, offboarding and role changes, including device provisioning and access updates.

- Maintain IT stock, asset records and device lifecycle activities, including deployment, refresh, warranty repair and retirement.

- Work with managed print providers, device vendors, OT teams and technology specialists to resolve issues and deliver agreed changes.

- Support endpoint security, patching and compliance requirements in line with GM³ standards.

- Develop knowledge articles, identify recurring issues and contribute to service improvement and problem management.

- Support project delivery, device refreshes, site transitions and approved after-hours or on-call work.

ABOUT YOU

You have solid experience in onsite IT support and enjoy helping people. You can work through technical issues, identify what is causing the problem and explain the solution clearly to both technical and non-technical users.

You take ownership of your work, keep tickets and documentation up to date, and follow issues through to resolution.

You are organised, practical and comfortable working in a site-based environment where safety, service reliability and clear communication matter.

You are also comfortable working with specialist teams and service partners, knowing when to resolve an issue directly and when to escalate with the right information. This is a site-based role,

primarily at Tahmoor Mine, with travel to other GM³ sites as required.

Qualifications, skills and competencies:

- A relevant IT qualification or equivalent practical experience.

- At least three years’ experience in desktop, field or onsite IT support, including Level 2 troubleshooting.

- Hands-on experience supporting Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Teams and Intune-managed devices.

- Working knowledge of Active Directory and Entra ID user, group and access administration.

- Experience using ServiceNow or a similar ITSM platform to manage work to agreed service levels.

- Experience supporting mobile devices, printers, peripherals and meeting room technology.

- Networking basics, including Wi-Fi, DNS, DHCP and connectivity troubleshooting.

- Clear communication skills with people at every level, from site teams to executives.

- A current driver’s licence, willingness to travel between GM³ sites and the ability to meet site access and induction requirements.

- Mining, industrial or multi-site experience would be highly regarded. Experience with Autopilot, Teams Rooms, mobile device management, ITIL Foundation, CompTIA A+ or Microsoft 365 certifications would also be useful.
