About the role

The Pump Disassembler / Workshop Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient disassembly of pumps and associated components in the workshop. This role includes documenting pump condition, completing all required paperwork, cleaning and preparing parts for inspection and painting, and ensuring all components are clearly identified and organised throughout the repair process.

Key responsibilities

- Disassemble pumps, pump assemblies, and related equipment in accordance with workshop procedures and safety requirements

- Inspect equipment on arrival and identify obvious damage or wear

- Take explicit photographs of pumps and components before, during, and after disassembly for reporting and job records

- Complete all relevant workshop paperwork, job sheets, inspection records, and disassembly reports accurately





- Clean pump components thoroughly to allow for inspection, assessment, and refurbishment

- Prepare parts for painting by removing dirt, grease, corrosion, and old coatings as required

- Clean bolts, fasteners, studs, nuts, washers, and machine parts using a wire wheel and other approved cleaning methods

- Mark, label, and tag all parts clearly to ensure correct identification and reassembly

- Sort and store components in an organised manner to prevent damage or loss

- Maintain a clean, safe, and tidy workshop area at all times
