Job description:

The Procurement Audit and Assurance Analyst provides analytical, coordination and case management support across DEECA's Procurement Audit and Assurance function. The role contributes to internal and external procurement-related audits, including coordinating information and evidence, supporting departmental responses, and drafting, monitoring and reporting of agreed management actions. The position also supports procurement assurance activities and the consistent, evidence-based management of reported procurement non-compliance cases, including assessment, documentation, treatment monitoring, reporting and closure.

This role identifies emerging risks, recurring themes, control weaknesses and improvement opportunities through analysis of audit findings, non-compliance matters and procurement and financial data. Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, the role applies well-developed analytical, research and communication skills, together with sound knowledge of procurement policies, frameworks, processes and systems, to contribute to assurance reporting, practical guidance and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen procurement governance, compliance and assurance outcomes across DEECA.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

- Demonstrated knowledge of Victorian Government procurement policies and governance, including the ability to interpret and apply the Victorian Government requirements, procurement frameworks, procedures and controls.




- Demonstrated experience contributing to audit, assurance, compliance, governance or risk management activities, including evidence review, assessment, reporting, action tracking and stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated experience analysing procurement data, information and evidence to identify trends, risks, control gaps and improvement opportunities, and preparing clear and meaningful reports, briefings and recommendations to support informed decision-making.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of analytical tools and reporting systems to extract, validate, analyse and interpret data from multiple sources, and communicate findings through reports, dashboards and other reporting products to support informed decision-making.

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
