DWS is seeking an experienced Solution Architect - Asset Management Platforms & Integration to provide architecture leadership across enterprise asset management, GIS, integration, and data platforms within a large asset-intensive utility environment. This role will act as a trusted advisor to business and technology stakeholders while leading solution design, architecture governance, integration strategy, and technology roadmap activities.

Role Requirements

- Lead architecture activities across asset management, GIS, integration, and data initiatives.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations on technology direction, solution options, risks, and trade-offs.
- Develop end-to-end solution architectures covering applications, integrations, data, infrastructure, security, and operational support.
- Act as the technical authority across project inception, business case development, procurement, and delivery phases.
- Support pre-project and investment planning through architecture assessments and roadmap development.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand strategic and operational requirements and translate them into solution architectures and detailed design artefacts.
- Facilitate workshops and architecture reviews to validate requirements and proposed approaches.
- Define functional and non-functional solution requirements.

- Design and govern integrations between asset management, GIS, enterprise platforms, operational technologies, and third-party systems.
- Establish integration patterns, API strategies, event-driven architectures, and data exchange standards.
- Ensure Azure Integration Services are leveraged appropriately and consistently.
- Define data architecture, governance, migration approaches, and transition strategies.
- Lead data migration assessments, mapping activities, quality reviews, and data transition planning.
- Ensure data integrity, lineage, ownership, and compliance requirements are addressed.
- Ensure solutions comply with security, privacy, regulatory, and governance requirements.
- Work with security and risk teams to assess risks and define appropriate controls.
- Provide technical input into procurement activities, tender responses, vendor evaluations, and solution assessments.
- Establish and maintain architecture standards, principles, reference architectures, and design patterns.
- Review solution deliverables to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture objectives.
- Identify and manage technology risks, technical debt, and architectural impacts.
- Ensure solutions are supportable, maintainable, secure, and operationally ready.
- Define support models,



monitoring requirements, service management considerations, and transition plans.
- Solid stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation, consulting, and influencing skills.
- Experience within utilities, infrastructure, energy, transport, water, or other asset-intensive environments is highly desirable.
- Experience supporting Utility Network implementations, data migration initiatives, master data management, and large-scale digital transformation programs is highly desirable.
- TOGAF or equivalent architecture certification is highly desirable.
