THE CLIENT
Our client is a part of the Iconic Snowy Hydro 2.0 project. They are a leading heavy mechanical engineering, services and contracting business operating throughout Australia and New Zealand in major capital cities and regional locations. They perform an integral role in the development of ANZ infrastructure across mining and resources, transport and power markets.

THE ROLE
The Site HSE Advisor will provide hands-on HSE support across warehouse, logistics, plant and equipment activities in Goulburn associated with the Snowy Hydro 2.0 project. Reporting to the Onshore Project HSE Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining a robust safety culture and ensuring compliance across site operations.

This is a practical, site-based HSE position suited to an experienced HSE professional who can engage effectively with operational teams, contractors and subcontractors and provide practical, solutions-focused safety advice.

Location: Goulburn, NSW
Roster: 5/2 (Local, Relocation or FIFO options)
Salary: $180K-$210K + Super
FIFO: FIFO option available

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide expert HSE guidance and support across warehouse operations, material handling and logistics activities.
- Develop, implement and monitor HSE plans, procedures and systems relevant to warehousing, logistics, plant and equipment.
- Conduct risk assessments, inspections and audits across warehouse areas, loading/unloading zones, plant and equipment.
- Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of plant and equipment, including pre-start checks, maintenance requirements and operator competencies.




- Investigate incidents and near misses and implement effective corrective and preventative actions.
- Deliver HSE inductions and training covering warehouse safety, manual handling, forklift operations and the safe use of plant and equipment.
- Maintain accurate HSE records and prepare relevant reports and safety metrics.
- Work closely with management, logistics teams, contractors and subcontractors to integrate HSE requirements into daily operations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant NSW WHS legislation and regulations, including NHVR requirements relating to the movement of goods and heavy vehicles.
- Support contractor and subcontractor pre-qualification and management, including reviewing HSE documentation and leading daily HSE interactions.
- Promote a proactive safety culture and provide practical, solutions-focused HSE advice to operational teams.

ABOUT YOU

- Proven experience in an HSE Advisor role, ideally within warehousing, logistics, heavy construction, infrastructure, mining, energy or similar environments.
- Strong knowledge of NSW WHS legislation and regulations.
- Practical understanding of NHVR requirements and heavy vehicle operations.
- Experience with plant and equipment safety, including mobile plant, forklifts, rigging or similar equipment.
- Experience conducting risk assessments,



inspections and developing safe work procedures.
- Experience reviewing contractor and subcontractor HSE documentation in an operational environment.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively with site and operational personnel.
- A proactive and solutions-oriented approach to safety and continuous improvement.
- Relevant HSE qualification, ideally a minimum Diploma in Work Health and Safety or equivalent.
- ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 internal or lead auditor qualification desirable.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent desirable.
- Valid Australian driver's licence.
