We're looking for an experienced Accounts Officer to join our finance team at our Hallam Branch. This is a hands-on role focused on accounts payable and accounts receivable, working closely with our branch teams. We need someone who can hit the ground running from day one.
Key responsibilities
- Processing supplier invoices accurately and on time
- Matching invoices to purchase orders and resolving discrepancies
- Working with branch departments on any disputed invoices to ensure quick and accurate processing
- Preparing and processing weekly supplier payment runs
- Reconciling supplier statements and handling supplier queries
- Raising customer invoices, including hire, sales and service billing
- Working with branch departments on any customer invoicing queries to ensure quick and accurate resolution
- Managing debtor collections and following up overdue accounts
- Assisting with COD collections and payments
- Allocating customer receipts and reconciling customer accounts
About you
- At least 3–5 years' experience in a similar AP/AR role
- Solid working knowledge of accounting system (Myob desirable)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage high transaction volumes and meet deadlines
- Confident communicator with suppliers, customers and internal teams
- Collaborative approach and confidence working with branch managers and operational teams
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience in hire, equipment or industrial businesses (desirable)
