Sydney Health and Sports is an established, family-run, multi-disciplinary allied health practice in South Wentworthville, with a friendly atmosphere and a wealth of clinical experience across a range of disciplines.

We are looking for a hands-on practitioner who is early in their career, or looking to develop their clinical practice, and who wants to work in an environment where hands-on assessment, clinical observation and mentoring are central to the way we work.

This is a hands-on role — in every sense.

We are particularly interested in practitioners who believe that your hands can tell you something about a patient that a textbook, scan or protocol cannot.

The role places a strong emphasis on developing the ability to:

- Assess the body through skilled palpation and hands-on examination

- Develop sensitivity to tissue, movement and restriction

- Apply appropriate hands-on treatment techniques

- Develop clinical reasoning through what you see, feel and observe

- Understand the relationship between different regions of the body

- Learn from direct observation and close clinical mentoring

- Develop confidence through progressively treating your own patients

A genuinely multi-disciplinary environment

You will be working within an established allied health practice alongside practitioners including:

Chiropractors, osteopaths, physiotherapists, podiatrists, naturopaths, exercise physiologists and massage/bodywork practitioners.

This creates an unusual opportunity to work alongside people with different clinical backgrounds and approaches, observe how they assess and treat patients, and develop a broader understanding of hands-on healthcare.

The cross-modality, multi-hands approach is something we are interested in exploring and developing within the practice,



bringing together different practitioners and clinical perspectives where appropriate for the benefit of patient care.

We are open to applicants from a range of backgrounds, including:

- Physiotherapy

- Osteopathy

- Chiropractic

- Remedial massage / massage therapy

- Craniosacral massage therapy — particularly welcomed, as this treatment modality is also offered within the practice

- Myotherapy

- Exercise physiology — particularly practitioners with a strong interest in hands-on assessment and treatment

- Manual therapy

- Other recognised hands-on allied health disciplines

The specific qualification is important, but so is the practitioner behind it. We are looking for someone with good hands, curiosity, clinical awareness and a genuine desire to keep developing.

Mentorship & building your own practice

For the right applicant, this is intended to be more than simply a job.

You will receive hands-on clinical mentoring, with the opportunity to:

- Observe experienced practitioners

- Discuss cases

- Refine your assessment and treatment skills

- Participate in cross-modality, multi-hands treatment with other practitioners

- Progressively develop your own clinical approach

- Build confidence through practical clinical experience

The longer-term goal is to help you build your own patient caseload and establish yourself as a valued practitioner within the practice.

We are particularly interested in someone who wants to develop a long-term relationship with the practice, rather than simply looking for a short-term position.

Exposure to Emerging Neuromodulation Therapies

As part of our broader clinical environment,



practitioners also have the opportunity to gain exposure to evidence-based neuromodulation and brain-stimulation techniques used to support treatment across neurological, chronic and mental health presentations.

These include tDCS, taVNS, TPS, CES and MET, providing exposure to emerging drug-free approaches alongside hands-on clinical care.
