About the Role

Grazioso Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Carpenter and Joiner to join our growing carpentry division.

Our carpentry division has experienced a significant increase in production and workload over the past 18 months. We are therefore looking for a dedicated Carpenter and Joiner to support our ongoing projects and continued growth.

The successful applicant will undertake both workshop-based joinery and in office carpentry and installation work.

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

- Reading and interpreting drawings, plans and specifications to determine materials, dimensions and installation requirements;

- Measuring, cutting, shaping and assembling timber and other materials;

- Fabricating custom timber structures, fixtures, furniture, doors and joinery;

- Cutting and forming timber joints and assembling components ready for installation;

- Carrying out general carpentry and joinery work in the workshop and on site;

- Installing timber structures, fixtures, fittings, doors and joinery;

- Undertaking interior fit-out and finishing work;

- Carrying out site measurements and determining material requirements;

- Using hand tools, power tools and woodworking machinery safely and effectively;

- Carrying out repairs, adjustments, finishing and defect rectification;

- Working from architectural and construction drawings;





- Ensuring completed work meets required quality and safety standards; and

- Working with the Director and other team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Skills and Experience

The successful applicant should have:

- Relevant qualification in carpentry, joinery, construction or a closely related field, and/or relevant practical experience;

- Experience in carpentry, joinery, timber fabrication or related work;

- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, plans and specifications;

- Experience in measuring, cutting, shaping and assembling timber;

- Experience in custom joinery and timber fabrication;

- Experience with on-site installation and interior fit-out work;

- Good knowledge of hand and power tools;

- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship;

- Good problem-solving and organisational skills;

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; and

- Appropriate Australian work and construction-site credentials where required.

You will be a practical and skilled Carpenter and Joiner who takes pride in quality workmanship. You should be comfortable working across the full process, from interpreting drawings and preparing materials through to fabrication, installation and final finishing.
