About the role

1 year contract, commencing 1 January 2027. Part-time (0.8 FTE) Mondays - Thursdays.

The Primary School Teacher is responsible for delivering a high-quality, engaging and developmentally appropriate educational program for primary school students. The role aims to foster academic achievement, critical thinking, creativity, curiosity and a love of learning while supporting each student's social, emotional, physical and spiritual development. The Primary School Teacher contributes to the School's vision of nurturing confident, compassionate and capable learners within a supportive workplace that reflects the values and traditions of the Greek Orthodox faith.

Key responsibilities

- Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality learning experiences aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum across all relevant learning areas.

- Develop and implement differentiated teaching strategies to meet the diverse learning needs, abilities and interests of students.

- Foster student engagement, curiosity, creativity, collaboration and critical thinking.

- Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that promotes participation, achievement and a love of learning.

- Support the academic, social, emotional and spiritual development of students.

- Integrate literacy, numeracy and digital technologies into teaching and learning programs.

- Use effective classroom management strategies to promote positive student behaviour and engagement.

- Employ contemporary evidence-based pedagogical practices to enhance student learning outcomes.

- Use assessment data to monitor, evaluate and improve student progress and achievement.

- Promote a safe, respectful and inclusive learning environment.

About you





- Current Teaching Registration with the Teacher's Registration Board of Western Australia.

- Current Working with Children Check.

- Demonstrated experience teaching primary school students.

- Sound knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum.

- Ability to plan and deliver differentiated learning programs.

- Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.

- Demonstrated ability to use assessment data to improve student learning outcomes.

- Experience integrating technology into teaching and learning.

- Knowledge of contemporary evidence-based teaching practices.

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
