About the Role

Our client is looking for a specialized Information Security Analyst with a focus on Threat Intelligence to join their remote team supporting operations in Queenstown. In this critical role, you will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and disseminating intelligence on current and emerging cyber threats relevant to the organization. Your insights will empower the security team to proactively defend against attacks and strengthen defenses. This position offers the opportunity to work from anywhere within South Africa, contributing to a vital function within a forward-thinking cybersecurity unit.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor various threat intelligence sources, including open-source intelligence (OSINT), dark web forums, and commercial feeds.
- Analyze threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) to identify potential impacts on the organization.
- Develop actionable intelligence reports, threat advisories, and briefings for security operations and leadership.
- Support incident response activities by providing context and indicators of compromise (IOCs) related to ongoing threats.
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate threat intelligence into security controls and detection mechanisms.




- Contribute to the development and enhancement of threat intelligence platforms and processes.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field; specialized certifications in threat intelligence are a significant advantage.
- 2-4 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a specific focus or demonstrated passion for threat intelligence analysis.
- Proficiency in analyzing various types of threat data and generating actionable insights.
- Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms (TIPs), SIEM systems, and security frameworks.
- Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of producing clear and concise intelligence reports.
