About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Retail Stock Controller to manage inventory accurately at their Queenstown location. This position is vital for ensuring product availability, minimizing stock discrepancies, and supporting efficient store operations. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting regular stock counts, and coordinating stock movements. The ideal candidate possesses robust organizational skills, a meticulous approach to data accuracy, and a solid understanding of retail inventory management principles.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain accurate inventory records using the store's inventory management system.
- Conduct regular stock counts and cycle counts, identifying and reconciling discrepancies.
- Monitor stock levels, ensuring adequate inventory to meet customer demand while minimizing excess stock.
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming stock, ensuring correct quantities and quality.




- Coordinate stock transfers between the store and distribution centers or other store locations.
- Assist with loss prevention measures and report any stock-related issues or risks.

Requirements

- Proven experience as a Stock Controller , Inventory Clerk, or in a similar inventory management role.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to stock handling and counting.
- High school diploma or equivalent; experience in a retail environment is preferred.
