About the Role

Our client is seeking a part-time Purchasing Clerk to assist with procurement operations from a remote location, supporting their activities in Queenstown, Eastern Cape . This role is ideal for an individual seeking flexible work hours who possesses strong organizational skills and attention to detail. You will be responsible for processing purchase orders, maintaining records, and communicating with suppliers to ensure efficient procurement of goods and services. This is a crucial support role for the procurement team, contributing to operational continuity.

Key Responsibilities

- Process purchase orders accurately and efficiently based on requisitions.
- Maintain up-to-date records of purchase orders, invoices, and delivery notes.
- Contact suppliers to confirm order details, availability, and delivery schedules.
- Assist with the management of inventory levels by tracking incoming goods.
- Prepare basic reports on purchasing activities as required.




- Respond to internal queries regarding order status and procurement processes.

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience as a clerk, administrator, or in a similar purchasing support role is beneficial.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data entry and record keeping.
- Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Effective communication skills, suitable for remote interaction with colleagues and suppliers.
