About the Role

Our client, a leading name in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, is seeking an experienced and strategic Category Manager to join their commercial team on a fully remote basis. Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement strategic category plans, including product assortment, pricing, promotion, and placement, to maximize sales and profitability.
- Conduct thorough market analysis, consumer research, and competitor benchmarking to identify category trends and opportunities.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate favorable terms, and ensure the timely and efficient sourcing of products within the category.
- Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to drive execution of category strategies and achieve business goals.




- Monitor category performance against key metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Lead new product development and innovation initiatives within the assigned category.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- Significant experience in Category Management or a related strategic role within the FMCG industry.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects, negotiate effectively, and build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent understanding of consumer behavior, market dynamics, and retail operations.
