About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Computational Biologist with a focus on Genomics to join their fully remote, world-class research team. This role is vital for interpreting complex genomic datasets to unlock new biological insights and drive drug discovery efforts. You will employ cutting-edge computational tools and statistical methods to analyze large-scale sequencing data, identify genetic variations, and understand disease mechanisms. Key Responsibilities

- Analyze large-scale genomic datasets, including whole-genome sequencing, exome sequencing, and RNA-Seq data.
- Develop and apply computational pipelines for variant calling, annotation, and differential gene expression analysis.
- Identify genetic associations with diseases or specific phenotypes using statistical and bioinformatics approaches.
- Collaborate closely with experimental biologists and clinicians remotely to interpret findings and design new experiments.




- Develop predictive models based on genomic data to guide research and therapeutic development.
- Visualize and present complex genomic data in a clear and understandable format to diverse audiences.

Requirements

- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Genomics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Proven experience in analyzing next-generation sequencing (NGS) data and related bioinformatics tools.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and familiarity with relevant bioinformatics libraries.
- Strong understanding of statistical methods and their application to biological data.
- Experience with population genetics, variant analysis, or transcriptomics is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, crucial for effective remote collaboration and scientific discourse.
