About the role You will work across a broad range of auto electrical repairs, diagnostics and installations, with particular emphasis on quality workmanship and accurate fault diagnosis. This is an opportunity for an experienced tradesperson who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving difficult problems and wants to have a genuine influence on the day-to-day operation of a busy workshop.
For the right person, there is also the opportunity to take on workshop leadership and supervisory responsibilities. Key responsibilities Advanced auto electrical fault finding and diagnostics
Electrical and electronic system diagnosis Scan-tool and diagnostic equipment operation Starting and charging system diagnosis and repair
Accessory installations and electrical upgrades Air-conditioning diagnosis and repairs where appropriately qualified Working across passenger vehicles, 4WDs, commercial vehicles and fleet vehicles
Assisting with complex jobs and providing technical guidance to other team members Maintaining high standards of workmanship and job documentation Supporting and mentoring developing tradespeople
About you A qualified and experienced Auto Electrician Highly competent in diagnostics and fault finding
Refrigerant Handling Licence desirable Confident working independently on complex electrical problems Reliable, organised and accountable for their work
Able to communicate clearly with both colleagues and management Willing to share knowledge and assist less experienced technicians Focused on productivity without compromising workmanship
Comfortable taking ownership of jobs from diagnosis through to completion Interested in becoming an important long-term member of the business
