About the Role

Our client is seeking dedicated and safety-conscious Field Operators to join their gas processing plant team in the Queenstown area. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for monitoring and operating various plant equipment to ensure the efficient and secure processing of natural gas. You will perform routine checks, respond to alarms, and execute operational procedures under the guidance of supervisors. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, possess strong attention to detail, and have a commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and operational integrity. This role is fundamental to the daily functioning of our processing facilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor plant control systems (e.g., DCS ) and respond to operational parameters and alarms.
- Perform routine inspections and operational checks on plant equipment, including pumps, compressors, and vessels.
- Operate and control processing units to meet production specifications.
- Safely conduct field operations, including valve operations, sample collection, and minor adjustments.




- Adhere to all safety procedures and environmental regulations.
- Assist with minor maintenance tasks and report any equipment malfunctions or deviations.

Requirements

- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience as an operator in a chemical or gas processing plant is highly preferred.
- Basic understanding of process operations and safety protocols.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Strong observational skills and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Physically fit and able to work in various environmental conditions in Queenstown .
