About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant Cybersecurity Analyst to join their dedicated IT security team in Queenstown . This role is critical in protecting the organization's digital assets from evolving threats. You will be responsible for monitoring security systems, investigating incidents, implementing security measures, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. This on-site position requires a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks, contributing to a secure operational environment within our client's premises.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM and other security tools to detect and respond to threats.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses.
- Investigate security incidents, perform forensic analysis, and develop remediation plans.
- Implement and maintain security controls, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint security solutions.
- Develop and update security policies, procedures, and guidelines.




- Provide security awareness training to employees and ensure compliance with security protocols.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, incident response, or threat analysis.
- Proficiency with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, endpoint protection, and vulnerability scanners.
- Strong understanding of network security , cryptography, and common attack vectors.
- Knowledge of relevant security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
