About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative and results-oriented Research Scientist to join their Pharmaceutical Development team in Queenstown . Key Responsibilities

- Design, execute, and interpret experiments to identify and optimize lead compounds for drug development.
- Utilize a range of in vitro and in vivo models to assess drug efficacy, safety, and pharmacokinetic properties.
- Collaborate closely with medicinal chemists, pharmacologists, and toxicologists to advance drug discovery projects.
- Analyze complex biological and chemical data, identifying key trends and making data-driven recommendations.
- Contribute to the preparation of regulatory documents and scientific publications.




- Maintain detailed experimental records and ensure compliance with Positive Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards in Queenstown .

Requirements

- Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in drug discovery or pharmaceutical development research.
- Proven expertise in designing and conducting relevant assays, including cell-based assays and biochemical assays.
- Experience with various therapeutic areas and drug modalities (e.g., small molecules, biologics).
- Strong understanding of PK/PD relationships and preclinical development processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a strong publication record.
