We’re looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist or Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team at North Shore Occupational Therapy Pty Ltd trading as North Shore Kids Therapy.

This role is for an OT with established paediatric experience who is ready to bring their clinical skills to our team while continuing to deepen their practice - particularly in DIR/Floortime, sensory processing, regulation, relationships and play.

About us

North Shore Kids Therapy is a multidisciplinary paediatric practice on Sydney’s Lower North Shore.

Our team includes Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Behaviour Support Practitioners and an Early Childhood Educator.

While we are multidisciplinary, there is a strong clinical thread running through the way we work.

Our practice is neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed, relationship-based and child-led. We look beyond behaviour to understand what is happening underneath it - including sensory processing, regulation, communication, connection, motor skills and the demands of the child’s environment.

Our OTs work from a strong bottom-up sensory and developmental lens, with DIR/Floortime principles embedded in our approach.

We have well-equipped sensory gyms,



but great therapy to us is much more than having a child complete a set of activities. We value therapists who can observe, attune and adapt - following a child’s ideas while knowing when and how to scaffold the next step.

Who we’re looking for

You may be an experienced OT ready for your next clinical home, or a Senior OT looking for a role where your experience and clinical depth are recognised.

You’ll ideally bring:

- Established paediatric OT experience, with the confidence to independently manage a wide-ranging caseload

- Training and/or meaningful clinical experience in DIR/Floortime

- A strong background in sensory processing and sensory integration

- Confidence supporting children with regulation, participation, motor and developmental differences

- A neurodiversity-affirming and relationship-based approach

- Strong clinical reasoning and reflective practice

- Confidence collaborating with parents, educators and other professionals

- Strong case management, documentation and organisational skills

- Confidence working across different settings, including clinic, school, preschool/daycare, home and community

- A willingness to contribute your experience and thinking to the wider team





- An interest in identifying opportunities to strengthen and develop our services beyond the therapy room

How we work

Our clinicians work across our clinic, schools and preschools/daycares, homes and community settings depending on the needs of the child and family.

Our standard appointments recognise that good therapy involves more than face-to-face time. Clinicians have time for documentation, preparation, liaison and case management as part of their clinical work.

You’ll have access to regular individual and peer supervision, team meetings and dedicated professional development opportunities.

We invest in clinical development and want our clinicians to continue building depth in the areas that underpin our approach, including DIR/Floortime, sensory integration, regulation, trauma-informed practice and family-centred care.

For Senior OTs, we recognise that experience should bring greater autonomy, efficiency and clinical depth. Our senior clinicians contribute beyond their own caseload - sharing their thinking, supporting the broader team and identifying opportunities to strengthen and develop our services, while continuing to maintain their own clinical caseload.
