Registered Nurse – Tennant Creek Aged Care

Location: Tennant Creek, Northern Territory
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Re-location: Relocation support and furnished shared housing included in remuneration package.

Remuneration and benefits

- Hourly rate: $51.26 – $53.84 per hour (gross base)
- Annual salary: $101,290 – $106,400
- Exclusive $30,000 PA bonus structure for first year (conditions apply)

Duties

- Promote a consultative and collaborative approach to person centred care planning
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident care
- Develop, implement, monitor, and review care plans
- Act on reported changes or concerns
- Provide nursing care within scope of practice
- Delegate personal care per scope of practice and Medication Manual
- Assist individuals in programmes and recreational activities




- Transport individuals as required
- Orient recent staff
- Assist in research relevant to clinical matters
- Ensure service meets accreditation standards
- Report complaints to Clinical Nurse Manager or Residential Aged Care Manager
- Ad-hoc tasks as delegated

Skills and experience

- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- Minimum 12 months experience as a Registered Nurse in Australian health service (geriatric or aged care preferred but not essential)
- Knowledge of contemporary nursing practices
- Experience in multidisciplinary and multi-cultural care team
- Preferably experience with Indigenous Australians or remote areas
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, intermediate computer skills
- Ability to meet mandatory compliance requirements
- Proactive supportive colleague with strong work ethic
