About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and proactive Community Development Officer to contribute to initiatives in Queenstown . This role focuses on empowering local communities by identifying needs, facilitating projects, and fostering sustainable development. You will work closely with residents, local government, and other stakeholders to design and implement programs that enhance social cohesion, economic opportunities, and overall quality of life. Key Responsibilities

- Conduct community needs assessments and identify key development priorities.
- Facilitate community meetings and consultations to foster engagement and participation.
- Develop and manage community-based projects from inception to completion.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community members, local leaders, and external organizations.
- Assist communities in accessing funding and resources for development initiatives.




- Monitor project progress and evaluate outcomes, reporting on impact and lessons learned.

Requirements

- Relevant degree in Community Development, Social Sciences, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in community development work, project management, or social program implementation.
- Solid understanding of community dynamics and participatory development approaches.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
