About the Role

Our client requires a dedicated Telecom Field Technician to join their service delivery team in Queenstown. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment at customer sites and network infrastructure points. You will be on the front lines, ensuring that our clients' services are reliably delivered and meet the highest standards of quality. The ideal candidate is practical, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent on-site support, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and network integrity.

Key Responsibilities

- Install and configure customer premise equipment (CPE), including modems, routers, and VoIP devices.
- Perform basic network troubleshooting and diagnostics for connectivity and service issues.
- Run and terminate copper and fiber optic cables, ensuring neat and compliant installations.
- Respond to customer requests for service, repairs, and upgrades in a professional manner.




- Test installed equipment and services to verify functionality and performance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all safety protocols are followed.

Requirements

- Previous experience in a similar field technician role, preferably in telecommunications.
- Knowledge of telecommunications hardware, installation techniques, and basic networking principles.
- Ability to use hand tools and specialized testing equipment.
- Good customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and travel within the designated service area.
- Valid driver's license and a reliable means of transport.
