About the Role

Our client, a prominent name in the FMCG industry, is seeking an experienced and meticulous Quality Assurance Manager to oversee quality control processes at their facility in Queenstown, Eastern Cape . This role is crucial for ensuring that all products meet stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements. You will lead the QA team, implement and maintain quality management systems, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to uphold the integrity and safety of our client's products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance within a manufacturing setting, particularly in FMCG.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in line with industry standards and regulations.
- Lead and manage the Quality Assurance team, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
- Conduct regular internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality protocols.
- Investigate quality deviations, customer complaints, and non-conformance issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Collaborate with production, R&D;,



and supply chain teams to ensure quality is integrated throughout the product lifecycle.
- Monitor key quality metrics, analyze trends, and report on product quality performance to senior management.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control, preferably in the FMCG or food manufacturing sector.
- Proven experience in implementing and managing QMS (e.g., ISO 9001, HACCP, FSSC 22000).
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to food safety and product quality.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Experience in leading audits and managing corrective action plans.
