About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a seasoned Remote Information Security Manager to lead and manage their cybersecurity program. This fully remote position is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive security strategies that protect the organization's information assets and systems from cyber threats. You will lead a distributed team, foster a strong security culture, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. This is a leadership opportunity for a strategic thinker who can effectively manage security operations in a remote-first environment, driving best practices and continuous improvement across all security functions.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute the organization's information security strategy, policies, and procedures.
- Oversee and manage all aspects of cybersecurity operations, including threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and access control.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a remote cybersecurity team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual security requirements.
- Manage security budgets and vendor relationships, ensuring cost-effectiveness and optimal performance.




- Conduct regular risk assessments and implement appropriate controls to mitigate identified risks.
- Promote security awareness and best practices across the entire organization through engaging programs.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in information security, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing enterprise-wide security programs.
- Strong understanding of information security principles, frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST), and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with experience managing remote teams.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC are highly desirable.
