About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior Data Analyst to join their globally distributed team, working remotely to support their mining operations . This role is essential for transforming complex operational data into actionable insights that drive efficiency, safety, and profitability. You will work closely with mine managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to identify trends, develop performance metrics, and create insightful reports and dashboards. This is a unique prospect for a data professional to contribute to the modernization and optimization of the mining industry from a remote location.

Key Responsibilities

- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from various mining operations sources (e.g., production, equipment, safety).
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to visualize key performance indicators.
- Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement in operational efficiency, cost reduction, and safety performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.




- Develop predictive models and forecasts to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation.
- Communicate complex analytical findings clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mining Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, with a significant portion focused on operational or industrial data.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and data manipulation techniques.
- Strong experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Familiarity with statistical modeling and machine learning concepts is a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with proven ability to work effectively in a fully remote setting.
