We’re working with a well-established technology business to appoint a Senior Manager, Business Resilience & Continuity.

This is a newly significant leadership opportunity for a resilience specialist who can bring together business continuity, crisis preparedness, technology resilience and third-party risk into a cohesive enterprise-wide capability.

You’ll work across the organisation to understand where critical services and dependencies sit, identify potential points of failure and ensure the business is prepared to respond when disruption occurs.

This is a role for someone who enjoys operating strategically while still being close enough to the detail to make things happen.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll take ownership of the organisation’s resilience and continuity agenda, working with senior stakeholders across Risk, Technology, Security and the wider business.

Your responsibilities will include

- Develop and continuously improve the organisation’s business resilience and continuity strategy
- Establish consistent approaches to Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and crisis preparedness
- Work with business leaders to identify and understand critical services and operational dependencies
- Assess the potential impact of major business disruptions and establish appropriate resilience measures
- Lead resilience testing, scenario exercises and crisis simulations
- Identify weaknesses across technology, people, processes, data and external suppliers
- Work closely with procurement and risk teams to strengthen third-party resilience
- Develop meaningful reporting and metrics for senior leadership and governance forums




- Provide expert guidance during audits, assurance reviews and regulatory engagements
- Partner with Technology and Cyber Security teams to ensure business and technology resilience are aligned
- Drive greater resilience awareness and accountability across the organisation

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who has already operated at a senior level within business resilience, operational resilience, business continuity, disaster recovery or crisis management.

You’ll ideally have

- Significant experience developing or leading enterprise resilience programs
- Background within financial services, fintech, technology, SaaS, insurance or another highly regulated environment
- Strong understanding of Australian regulatory expectations, particularly APRA CPS 230
- Experience working with critical services, business impact assessments and resilience planning
- Strong knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery principles
- Experience running scenario-based testing and crisis exercises
- Understanding of supplier, outsourcing and third-party resilience
- Confidence engaging with senior executives and influencing stakeholders across a complex organisation
- Experience supporting internal audit, external audit or regulatory reviews
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Relevant certifications such as CBCP, MBCI, CRISC, CISM or similar would be advantageous.
