About the Team

We conduct airborne missions for the Australian Government across maritime surveillance and search and rescue operations. With bases strategically positioned across Australia, we operate a fully integrated in‑house aviation capability which includes flight operations, maintenance organisation, training organisation and operations centre.

The Opportunity

Opportunity for a B1 or B2 Dash 8 Classic Type Rated LAME to join our Engineering team in a FIFO role working a 20 days on 20 days off roster. The role will see you working 10‑hour days in both am and pm shifts, your responsibilities will include;

- Perform the duties of a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.
- Ensure all aircraft maintenance, documentation and certification is carried out and completed in line with the MOE, procedures manuals and responsible CAMO requirements.
- Hold safety as a core value and contribute to the achievement of a zero harm and incident/injury free environment through active participation in all safety programs relevant to the position.
- Perform, implement and maintain any required shift / task handovers.
- Ensure Critical Maintenance Tasks are completed with applicable control procedure prior to issue of a CRS.

About You





We are looking for someone who brings judgement, curiosity and a collaborative approach to work that matters.

Essential for this role:

- Experienced LAME B1 or B2 licensed.
- Heavy and Line maintenance Experience.
- Hold a DHC8 classic type rating.

This role requires the successful applicant to hold full Australian working rights.

What you will do

- Travel to customer sites to perform preventive maintenance and installation tasks of moderate complexity.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
- Use Tetra Pak Maintenance System tools to report and document service activities.
- Interpret technical documentation and follow global procedures.
- Represent Tetra Pak professionally and share ideas for improving customer operations.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all safety protocols.

Travel 30-40% of your time to customer sites.

We believe you have

- Requires foundational, mechanical or electrical experience, supported by a high school diploma or technical/vocational program from a trade school.
- Practical experience performing maintenance and repairs across multiple areas, ideally in the dairy industry, but could also be in automotive systems, diesel engines, HVAC, plumbing, electrical work and material handling equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement effective repairs to minimise downtime.
- Authorization and ability to work and travel within Australia with up to 40% travel.
- A valid driver's license is required for extensive travel to customer sites by car and air.
- Good English communication skills (written and verbal).
- A customer-focused attitude and a drive to improve.
- A growth mindset and willingness to learn food industry equipment.
- A proactive, safety-first approach.
