Are you looking for a new change? We are looking for a ideal candidate to join our growing team here in Sydney. We specialize in company tax and tax law and are looking for a keen, enthusiastic person to join our team.

This role is a specialist tax role and understanding the rules and regulations is key. We are also a tax law firm and so you will gain experience in tax disputes and also be engaged with legal tax matters in court.

Technical Skills

- Can prepare company financials - profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow statements.
- Able to understand, interpret and analyze financial statements and financial information.




- Ability to prepare and understand complex transactions between related entities, including loans and other payments and re-charges.
- Can prepare business activity statements with minimal supervision.
- Can prepare company tax returns, trust tax returns and individual tax returns with minimal supervision
- Experience in GST, CGT, FBT, Corporate Tax, Tax Consolidation, GST Grouping, Forex, Small Business Concessions, Division 7A, Intercompany loans, and Trusts and Rollovers.
- Understand SMSF rules and regulations. Are able to prepare the tax returns and annual financial statements and understand how to use and navigate BGL.
- Understand cryptocurrency and associated CGT calculations
- Ability to communicate accounting and tax concepts
- Ability to work within time constraints
- Ability to oversee end to end client management. This is a client facing role

- Microsoft Excel
- Xero
- MYOB
- QuickBooks
- BGL
- CCH
- Microsoft Word
- Adobe

Qualifications

- 5+ years' experience in AU accounting and taxation
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
- CPA or CA Qualified

Work Location

- Office based work set up
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM Manila | 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM AEST
- Should have robust internet connection (minimum of 20 mbps)
- Should have own Laptop/PC (minimum of i5 8GB RAM)
