Government Shared Services (GSS) is a division of Department of Cstomer Service that delivers essential shared services to more than 1 NSW Government agencies, spporting otcomes for the people of NSW.

Client & Commercial Soltions (C&CS;) spports GSS by strengthening governance, managing client relationships, and providing assrance, commercial, and financial oversight to enable effective and reliable shared service delivery.

About the role

GSS is seeking an experienced and motivated leader to manage or assrance and bsiness continity fnctions and help strengthen organisational resilience across a large and complex shared services environment.

This is an exciting opportnity to lead a diverse portfolio spanning assrance, adit, risk, compliance, bsiness continity and critical incident response. Working closely with sbject matter experts, cstomer agencies and other key stakeholders, yo will play a pivotal role in ensring GSS meets its operational and reglatory obligations while continosly improving controls, governance and preparedness

The Prospect

This is a niqe opportnity to lead and shape assrance and bsiness continity capability within GSS. Reporting to the Director Governance and Assrance, yo will oversee a key divisional portfolio responsible for strengthening resilience across critical government services.

The role offers a high level of atonomy, a diverse stakeholder environment, and the opportnity to lead a capable team while delivering initiatives that have a tangible impact across GSS its cstomer agencies.

Whether leading assrance activities, coordinating critical incident preparedness, responding to emerging risks, or shaping bsiness continity strategies, yo will play a key role in ensring GSS remains resilient, accontable, and trsted as the shared services provider to over 1 NSW government agencies.

What you'll do





- Lead the GSS' assrance, adit, risk, compliance, bsiness continity, and critical incident response programs
- Manage internal and external adit activities, inclding oversight of adit providers, liaising with the Adit Office of NSW, and implementation of adit recommendations.
- Maintain divisional risk registers and provide expert advice on risk identification, controls and mitigation strategies.
- Oversee compliance obligations, attestations, policies and reporting to ensre adherence to legislative and whole-of-government reqirements.
- Lead and maintain Bsiness Continity Management (BCM) and Critical Incident Response programs, ensring frameworks and plans are tested and effective.
- Bild solid relationships with cstomer agencies, service providers and government stakeholders to spport coordinated continity planning and incident preparedness.
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team, fostering a cltre of accontability, resilience and continos improvement

Yo will bring:

- Extensive experience in assrance, adit, risk management, compliance, bsiness continity or related disciplines.
- Strong nderstanding of NSW Government governance, risk and control frameworks, and compliance obligations.
- Experience leading assrance reviews, managing adits and driving the implementation of recommendations.
- Demonstrated capability in developing, maintaining and testing bsiness continity and critical incident response arrangements.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, inflencing and negotiation skills, with the ability to bild trsted relationships across all levels of an organisation.
- Strong written and verbal commnication skills, inclding the ability to prepare exective-level reports,



briefings and recommendations.
- Proven experience leading, coaching and developing high-performing teams, fostering a cltre of accontability, collaboration, and continos improvement.
- The ability to inspire others throgh change, bild capability, manage performance effectively and create an environment where people can thrive and deliver reslts.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities while delivering high-qality otcomes in a complex environment.
