Maxwell Recruitment and Training has been a specialist supplier of skilled labour for over 15 years and currently has an opportunity for an experienced Trade Assistant to join an established electrical business based in Cardiff.

This is a hands on role working within a busy electrical workshop, supporting qualified tradespeople and assisting with the movement, preparation, repair and overhaul of electrical equipment and components.

Key Responsibilities

Assist qualified electrical tradespeople with day-to-day workshop activities
n
Assist with the disassembly and reassembly of electrical equipment and components
n
Operate a forklift to load, unload and move equipment and materials
n
Clean and prepare components for repair, overhaul and testing
n
Use a range of hand and power tools
n
Assist with loading and unloading trucks
n
Complete manual handling and general labouring duties
n
Maintain a clean, secure and organised workshop
n
Follow all site safety procedures and supervisor instructions

What We're Looking For
n
n
Current Forklift Licence -essential
n
Previous Trade Assistant, workshop, manufacturing or industrial experience
n
MR or HR Truck Licence highly regarded
n
Physically fit and capable of completing manual handling and labour intensive duties
n
Confident using hand and power tools
n
Strong safety awareness
n
Reliable with a positive work ethic and willingness to assist wherever required
n
Current Driver's Licence and reliable transport
n
n
Note: candidates will be required to complete drug and alcohol testing prior to commencement.
