We are seeking a motivated and personable Personal Injury Lawyer to join our growing team. This is an excellent chance for a junior lawyer looking to develop their career in personal injury law within a supportive and collaborative environment. You will work closely with experienced lawyers and have genuine exposure to matters from initial instruction through to resolution.
Key responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of personal injury matters with appropriate supervision and support.
- Taking instructions from clients and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Conducting legal research and providing advice on liability, damages and prospects.
- Drafting correspondence, statements, pleadings and other legal documents.
- Obtaining and reviewing medical and other expert evidence.
- Liaising with insurers, solicitors, barristers, medical practitioners and other stakeholders.
- Assisting with settlement negotiations, mediations and conferences.
- Preparing briefs to counsel and expert witnesses.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date electronic files and ensuring all critical dates are diarised.
- Progressing matters efficiently and meeting court and statutory deadlines.
About you
- Admitted as a solicitor in NSW, or approaching admission.
- Ideally has 1–3 years' PAE, preferably with personal injury or litigation experience.
- A confident and compassionate communicator who enjoys working with clients.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Proactive and able to take responsibility for progressing matters.
- A strong written communicator with good drafting skills.
- Interested in developing a long-term career in personal injury law.
- A positive team member who is willing to learn and contribute to a supportive workplace.
