n2 Year Fixed Term Full time, 76 hours per fortnight n

Rural Northwest Health is offering a fantastic opportunity for individuals to complete a Diploma of Nursing by attending Federation TAFE in Horsham three days per week and undertaking supervised practice in a residential aged care facility two days per week. The program will commence in February and will conclude in February .

Diploma of Nursing is the nationally accredited qualification required for initial registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as an Enrolled Nurse.
n
n
There are three positions available - two in Warracknabeal Campus and one in Hopetoun Campus.
n
nThe successful candidate will: n
n
n
n
Be eligible for enrolment in the Federation TAFE Diploma of Nursing course, including achievement of a minimum Level 4 in each component of Language, Literacy, & Numeracy testing (completed on TAFE enrolment process)
n
n
Have previous experience working in a healthcare setting (as an advantage)
n
n




Have basic to intermediate computer skills
n
n
Have the ability to effectively manage time and resources to complete course requirements within require timeframes
n
n
Have a reliable computer and internet access to participate online and complete assessments
n
n
n
nWorking workplace n
n
Employed five days per week including:
n
n
Three days per week (9.00am to 3.30pm within Monday-Friday) attending classes at the Horsham Campus of Federation TAFE to learn the theoretical component of the course.
n
n
Two days per week (8-hour AM and PM shifts) ina Rural Northwest Health residential aged care facility applying skills and knowledge in practice under the supervision of registered nurses.
n
n
Clinical placement blocks require travel to Ballarat (completed on paid time).
n
