An opportunity exists for an experienced and client focused Clinical Nurse (Ophthalmology Clinic) to join the Surgical Outpatients team.
This is a permanent full time position, primarily working Monday - Friday dayshift.
About the Department
The Surgical Clinics facilitate specialist outpatient services for Ophthalmology, General and Breast Surgery, Neurosurgery, Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT), Vascular, Facio-Maxillary, Orthopaedic, Plastic Surgery, Urology, and Preadmission services. Surgical Outpatients also provides Plaster Technicians, Stomal Therapist and Colorectal services within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS). Surgical Clinics has approximately occasions of service (OOS) per month.

Qualification:
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
Highly Desirable:
Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus.
This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis
