About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Industrial Engineer with expertise in facility design and layout to join their team in Queenstown . This role operates on a hybrid model, requiring periodic on-site presence for site assessments and critical meetings, with flexibility for remote work on analysis and planning. You will be responsible for planning, designing, and optimizing facility layouts, material flow, and workstation configurations to maximize operational efficiency, safety, and space utilization. Your role will involve collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that new or renovated facilities meet strategic business objectives and operational demands. This is a key position impacting the physical infrastructure that supports our client's production capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design and layout of new manufacturing facilities, warehouses, and operational areas to optimize material flow and workflow.
- Conduct detailed space utilization studies and develop 3D models or simulations of proposed layouts.
- Analyze existing facility layouts and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, ergonomics, and safety.
- Develop and implement workstation design standards and ergonomic assessments to enhance worker well-being and productivity.
- Collaborate with architectural, construction,



and operations teams throughout the design and implementation phases.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant safety regulations, environmental standards, and building codes.

Requirements

- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, with a strong focus on facility planning, layout design, and material handling systems.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and simulation tools (e.g., Arena, AnyLogic) for facility design.
- Extensive knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, ergonomics, and workplace safety standards.
- Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale facility projects from concept through completion.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, essential for a hybrid role in Queenstown .
