About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and efficient Remote Catering Operations Specialist to manage and streamline their operational processes across different locations. This fully remote position allows you to contribute significantly to the smooth functioning of our catering services without the need for on-site presence. You will be responsible for coordinating logistics, managing inventory systems, and ensuring operational efficiency from anywhere in South Africa. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses excellent communication skills, and thrives in a dynamic, virtual work environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate the logistical planning for various catering events, ensuring timely delivery and setup.
- Manage and update inventory databases, tracking stock levels of food, beverages, and supplies.
- Develop and implement efficient operational workflows and standard operating procedures.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Monitor operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.




- Provide remote support to on-site teams, assisting with operational challenges as they arise.

Requirements

- Proven experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain management, ideally within the catering or hospitality sector.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of remote collaboration.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
- Familiarity with catering operations and event coordination from Queenstown or beyond.
