About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Operations Manager to lead their FMCG manufacturing facility in Queenstown . This critical role involves overseeing all aspects of plant operations, including production, supply chain, quality control, and maintenance, to ensure optimal efficiency, productivity, and profitability. You will be responsible for implementing best practices, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and managing a dedicated team to achieve operational excellence. This is a leadership position that requires a deep understanding of FMCG manufacturing processes and a commitment to fostering a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement operational strategies to meet production targets, quality standards, and cost objectives.
- Manage and lead the operations team, including production, warehouse, and quality control personnel.
- Oversee the entire production process, ensuring efficiency, waste reduction, and adherence to schedules.
- Implement and maintain robust quality management systems and safety protocols across the facility.
- Manage the supply chain, including procurement, inventory, and logistics, to ensure seamless operations.




- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.

Requirements

- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in operations management, with a significant portion in the FMCG manufacturing sector.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale production facilities and diverse teams.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and supply chain management.
- Excellent leadership, strategic planning, and decision-making skills.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
