About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Robotics Engineer with expertise in AI integration to join their advanced research and development team in Queenstown . This role focuses on developing intelligent robotic systems by integrating cutting-edge AI algorithms for perception, decision-making, and control. You will work on challenging projects that push the boundaries of automation and human-robot interaction. The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver with a passion for robotics and a deep understanding of how AI can enhance robotic capabilities in diverse applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and implement AI modules for robotic systems, including path planning, object recognition, and autonomous navigation.
- Integrate machine learning models (e.g., for vision, reinforcement learning) into robot control architectures.
- Develop and test control algorithms for robotic manipulators and mobile platforms.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to prototype and test robotic systems.
- Utilize simulation environments (e.g., ROS, Gazebo) for development and testing.
- Document designs, experiments,



and results thoroughly.

Requirements

- Master's or PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in robotics development, with a focus on AI/ML integration.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python, and experience with ROS (Robot Operating System).
- Strong understanding of control theory, kinematics, dynamics, and AI/ML concepts.
- Experience with computer vision, sensor fusion, and path planning algorithms.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, research-driven environment.
