Your role at St John of God Bendigo

n

We are seeking applications for a Food Service Assistant to join our Catering department on a casual basis for our Coffee shop – Barista.

n

You will provide a qualified hospital service in line with our St John of God values, maintain a high standard of cleanliness in all food services areas and transport food trolleys and other kitchen equipment to units and other areas.

n

The Position

n

n
- Transport food trolleys, other trolleys and kitchen equipment to wards, and other areas as directed
n
- Wash kitchen pots, pans and utensils as directed and to store all cooking equipment away in the correct areas
n
- Participate in departmental and hospital training and development programs
n
- Assist with the sorting and storage of food and stores received by the department
n
- Adherence and understanding of Food Safety Plan requirements
n
- Assembly of meal trays for patient according to standard working procedure, selection made from individual menu cards
n
- Preparation and plating of specified items prior to meal service
n
- Stripping of meal trays retuned from patients and sorting and separation of component into baskets ready for washing
n

n

You will have Food handling skills including hygiene standards and basic knowledge of all areas of kitchen hygiene.

n

Successful applicants will have ability to prioritise work,



work to a set schedule and problem solving skill.

n

- Salary: $33.40 to $34.76 (includes casual loading) + 12% Superannuation
