About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Engineer specializing in structures to join their innovative team in Queenstown. This role is integral to the design, analysis, and testing of aircraft structures, ensuring they meet stringent performance, safety, and airworthiness requirements. You will work on challenging projects, utilizing advanced engineering principles and software to develop robust and efficient structural solutions for next-generation aircraft. This hybrid position allows for collaboration with on-site teams while offering remote flexibility for focused analytical work.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform structural analysis and design of aircraft components and assemblies using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software.
- Develop and validate structural models, ensuring compliance with aerodynamic loads and operational requirements.
- Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for structural components.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and testing teams to oversee the production and verification of structural designs.




- Conduct structural testing and analyze test results to validate designs and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay abreast of new materials, technologies, and methodologies in aerospace structural engineering.

Requirements

- Master's or Ph.D. degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on structures.
- Demonstrated experience in aerospace structural analysis and design.
- Proficiency with FEA software such as ANSYS, NASTRAN, or Abaqus.
- Strong understanding of materials science, mechanics of materials, and structural dynamics.
- Experience with CAD software and technical drawing standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
