About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Blockchain Network Engineer to join their technical operations team in Queenstown . This role is crucial for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our client's blockchain infrastructure. You will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of nodes, networks, and related systems. This position requires a solid understanding of networking principles, server administration, and the specific requirements of blockchain networks. Ideal candidates are proactive problem-solvers who can manage complex systems in a dedicated office environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Deploy, configure, and maintain nodes and validator infrastructure for various blockchain networks .
- Monitor network health, performance, and security, responding proactively to issues.
- Implement and manage network security measures to protect blockchain infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to network connectivity, node operation, and consensus.




- Optimize network performance and ensure high availability of blockchain services.
- Document network configurations, procedures, and incident responses.

Requirements

- Experience in network engineering, systems administration, or DevOps, with a focus on blockchain technology .
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, and other networking concepts.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting.
- Knowledge of blockchain consensus mechanisms and node operations.
- Experience with monitoring tools and infrastructure-as-code principles is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage critical infrastructure in a Queenstown -based office.
