Where you'll be working

Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital, You will be working in Ward 3A,



a 20 Bed Orthopaedics/Urology/ENT unit with the capacity to surge up to 28 Beds depending on demand. The unit boasts teamwork and continuous career development opportunities.

What you'll be doing

As an Enrolled Nurse, you will be delivering high-quality nursing care to Surgical Patients under both the direct and indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse. This challenging and rewarding role is supported by a structured pathway developed by our Clinical Nurse Educator.

The Enrolled Nurse will consult with the registered nurse to ensure delegation is commensurate with own level of competence and within Local Health District (LHD) and Service policy, particularly in relation to the administration of medications.

The purpose of this role is to provide safe and effective nursing care to patients using an individualised holistic approach related to the goals of care determined by the Primary Nurse (Registered Nurse) and within professional role limits and Enrolled Nurse Scope of Practice.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

- Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal.
