This is an excellent chance to join a highly successful Australian-owned precision engineering business based in the Braeside area. The company specialises in the manufacture of high-precision components and assemblies for industries including Defence, Aerospace, Medical, Rail and Mining.

n

Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist / Setter to join their permanent afternoon shift.

n

This position offers a genuine 4-day working week, Monday to Thursday, 2:00pm to midnight, giving you Friday, Saturday and Sunday off every week.

n

You will be working in a modern, clean and highly technical machining environment, primarily operating and setting Okuma Horizontal Machining Centres.

n

The role is approximately 70% production machining and 30% machine setting, changeovers, inspection, tooling adjustments and production support. You will be responsible for producing high-quality precision components while monitoring tooling, offsets and machining conditions to maintain quality and production efficiency.

n

Experience with horizontal machining centres, multi-pallet systems or multi-axis machining would be highly regarded.



Experience with Mastercam would also be an advantage.

You will need to be comfortable reading engineering drawings, setting machines, selecting and adjusting tooling, making offset changes and using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers and gauges.

- CNC Machining / Setting experience

- Okuma experience highly regarded

- Horizontal Machining Centre experience highly regarded

- Mastercam experience an advantage

- Ability to read engineering drawings

- High attention to detail

Due to the nature of the work undertaken, the successful applicant must be willing and able to complete a National Police Check, including fingerprinting, as part of the pre-employment process.
