About the role

This position provides a contemporary and dynamic approach to the Human Resources function of the business and ensures that all processes are supportive of the completion of business objectives. The role works closely with the General Manager People and Capability to provide contemporary and cutting-edge HR solutions and leadership to ensure the long- and short-term objectives of the business are met.

You’ll be a trusted partner who coaches leaders, handles the complex matters, and shapes how our people experience For Care.

What you’ll do

- Lead employee and industrial relations: performance, conduct, investigations and grievances,



all with procedural fairness and in line with the Fair Work Act.
- Handle the serious matters: work with Quality & Risk on allegations of abuse, neglect or Code of Conduct breaches, and support Fair Work Commission and union matters.
- Coach and mentor our leaders and coordinators so they manage their people well and with confidence.
- Build for growth: workforce planning for hard‑to-fill and regional roles across disability and aged care, change management, retention, and engagement (and wellbeing) programs.
- Shape the framework: develop contemporary HR policies, support our HRIS implementation, and use HR metrics to drive improvement.
- Know the awards: interpret the SCHADS, Aged Care and Nurses awards, and advise on changes such as the SCHADS gender undervaluation increases.
- Champion inclusion, including employment pathways for people with disability and First Nations team members.

What you’ll bring

- A degree or Masters in HRM (or similar) and 5 to 10 years in an HR leadership role
- Extensive ER/IR experience, including award interpretation and Fair Work legislation
- A track record of building policy frameworks and leading change
- Strong conflict resolution, mediation and coaching skills
- A calm, solution-focused approach, plus empathy, discretion and good judgement
- Knowledge of the SCHADS and Aged Care awards, or the ability to pick it up quickly
- Desirable: experience in disability or aged care sector, WHS and psychosocial hazards, L&D;, or return to work and injury management
