About the Role

Our client is seeking a results-oriented and experienced Mine Operations Superintendent to lead their production team in the Queenstown area. This senior management role is responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of all mining activities, including drilling, blasting, loading, and hauling. You will play a critical part in achieving production targets, managing operational resources, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and environmental performance within their mining establishment . This is a leadership opportunity with direct accountability for operational success.

Key Responsibilities

- Direct and manage all aspects of daily mine production activities.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, operational procedures, and environmental standards.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize production efficiency and minimize costs.
- Manage and mentor a large team of supervisors, operators, and support staff.
- Collaborate with mine planning, engineering,



and maintenance departments to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in mine operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Proven track record of managing protected and productive mining operations, preferably in surface mining .
- Strong understanding of mining equipment, techniques, and operational best practices.
- Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
