Spao Ottobock Care (SPAO) is one of Australia's leading providers of prosthetic & orthotic rehabilitation, operating through an extensive network of clinics. For more than 40 years, we have been helping people achieve greater mobility, independence, & quality of life through personalised care, innovative solutions, & a commitment to outstanding clinical outcomes.

As part of the global Ottobock network, SPAO combines world-class technology with compassionate, client-centred care. With clinics throughout NSW & on the Gold Coast, Queensland, we are proud to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients every day.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly organised, professional, & customer-focused individual to join our Gold Coast team in our recently opened, state-of-the-art facility within the Health & Knowledge Precinct, Southport.

This is a 12-month Parental Leave contract (or until the employee returns from parental leave) offering an opportunity to become part of a specialist healthcare team where your contribution genuinely impacts the lives of others.

This is much more than a customer service & administrative role. As one of the key points of contact within the clinic, you will play an important role in creating a positive experience for clients from their first interaction with SPAO. You will work closely with clinicians, funding bodies, suppliers, & clients while helping ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of a busy healthcare practice.

We are looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership of their work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, & takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining high levels of accuracy & professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

Manage front-of-house reception & administrative functions within a busy prosthetic & orthotic clinic.

Deliver a welcoming, professional & compassionate experience for clients & visitors.

Manage incoming & outgoing calls in a timely, professional & customer-focused manner.

Liaise with clients, clinicians, funding bodies, suppliers, & other stakeholders.

Maintain accurate client records & data within ERP systems, including reporting as required.

Support clinicians with funding approvals, sales administration, & customer service activities.

Coordinate the receipt & dispatch of goods, mail, stock, & documentation.

Ensure confidentiality, accuracy, & integrity of client information at all times.

Assist with inventory, reporting, general administration, & day-to-day operational activities.

Work collaboratively with colleagues across SPAO clinics when required.

What We're Looking For

Minimum 3 years' experience in administration, customer service, medical reception, or practice support.

Exceptional verbal & written communication skills.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.

A proactive, solutions-focused approach.

High attention to detail & accuracy.

A professional, compassionate & customer-focused attitude.

Highly Regarded

Experience in healthcare, allied health, disability services, rehabilitation, or medical administration.

Knowledge of the NDIS & associated funding processes.

Experience using SAP Business One or similar ERP systems.

Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration (or similar).

Experience supporting inventory, accounts, or operational processes.

Why Join SPAO?

In addition to a market-competitive salary package, you'll enjoy:

Working in a modern, purpose‑built clinic.

Complimentary festive season leave.

Birthday leave.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

A supportive, team-oriented & inclusive team environment.

Ongoing learning opportunities within a specialist healthcare setting.

The chance to make a genuine difference in the lives of others every day.

Equal Opportunity Employer

SPAO is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, & respectful workplace. We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, including Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander peoples, people with disabilities, people from culturally & linguistically diverse backgrounds, & members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

All employment decisions are based on merit, qualifications, experience, & business requirements.
